About ASO
Adam Sweet Online
With a background in music and education, ASO has been trading in bow hair, bow making supplies, supplies for luthiers and musicians since 1998. You may have heard of our business through the Violin Society of America. We have been members since 1999. Other organizations include the Classical Mandolin Society of America, the North East Guild of Archetiers and Luthiers, and Emily's Violins.
Adam Sweet has a BA in music and certificates in violin, performance, coaching and composition from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Center for Chamber Music at Apple Hill, the Conservatory at Rivers and Hampshire College. With coursework in Ethnomusicology, history of music, jazz theory and composition, Sweet has extensive music experience.
Sweet is the President of Mandolin New England, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit mandolin orchestra. He teaches mandolin-family and violin-family instruments online and at his covid19-regulated studio in Granby, MA
